Meet Bishop Miller
Bishop Charles S. Miller is a retired U.S. Army veteran, ordained bishop with the Church of God, headquarters Cleveland, TN and founder of Elisha Ministries. With over 26 years in pastoral leadership and a global outreach spanning the U.S., Europe, and Hawaii, he is committed to proclaiming the gospel, making disciples, and equipping believers for Kingdom service. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Bishop Miller holds a B.A. in Business Administration from McKendree University.
The Story Behind Elisha Ministries
Once there was a devoted servant of Christ named Elisha—a man deeply rooted in God’s Word and passionate about proclaiming the gospel. For years, he faithfully preached and taught in traditional settings. Yet, amid the rise of digital communication, he sensed a divine stirring: there was more he could do to reach the world for Christ in this generation. In a moment of fervent prayer, Elisha received a clear and compelling inspiration from the Lord—to launch an online ministry.

Founded by Bishop C. S. Miller in July 2013, Elisha Ministries was born out of prayer, prophetic calling, and a vision to reach the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Its divine conception began years earlier while Brother Miller served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany under the mentorship of Bishop Willie Courtney at the Church of God, Mighty Warrior Christian Servicemen’s Center.
During that season, a visiting evangelist spoke a prophetic word declaring that Bishop Courtney and Brother Miller were as Elijah and Elisha, a spiritual lineage rooted in prophetic anointing, mantle-bearing responsibility, and generational transfer of power. As Elisha in 2 Kings 2 received Elijah’s mantle and a double portion of his spirit, Bishop Miller sought and received that same empowering anointing.
“I earnestly sought the Lord for that double portion,” says Bishop Miller, “and He has honored that prayer.”
