Family, hold fast to the faith remain firmly committed to Jesus Christ, the truth of Scripture,  especially when we face temptation, false teaching, persecution, doubt, or cultural pressure. Because Jesus is soon to come!

Scripture: “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end.” Hebrews 3:12-14 Hebrews 3:12-14

Most people when turning there back on Christ rarely do it sudden. What normally happens is it begins quietly with neglected prayer, an unopened Bible, tolerated sin, resisted correction, or a growing affection for the values, things of the world.

Family, I know people don’t like using the word sin, but sin is deceptive. It promises freedom but produces bondage, gradually hardening the heart and weakening our sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.

Apostasy is the deliberate rejection of Christ and biblical truth. It is different from doubt, weakness, or temporary failure. Peter denied Jesus, but he repented, returned, and was restored. Failure does not have to become permanent departure.

I encourage you family to remain rooted in God’s Word. Do not allow personal feelings, cultural opinions, or so called bible teachers, popular teachers to replace biblical truth. Stay connected to Christ and His Church, where believers encourage, strengthen, correct, and pray for one another.

Our hope is not only in our ability to hold onto God, but also in His power to keep us:

“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling…” Jude 24

Continue seeking Christ. Continue praying. Continue studying His Word. Resist compromise and encourage others to remain faithful. The Christian life is not only about beginning well, it is about remaining steadfast until the end. Remember, Jesus is soon to come!
