The American Revolution Phase II PI

Battling for the Soul of America: Freedom and Religious Liberty vs Socialism

America has fought for it’s freedom once before against an impossible enemy. Seemingly more powerful, much bigger.

The British seemed unbeatable. During the previous 100 years, the British had enjoyed triumph after triumph over nations as powerful as France and Spain. Britain’s military was the best in the world. Their soldiers were well equipped, well disciplined, well paid, and well fed. The British navy dominated the seas. The spirit of freedom caused the Americans fought for their freedom and became a united people.

In August of 1790 George Washington visited the Hebrew Congregation in Newport, Rhode Island, after his visit he received a letter from one of the leaders of the Jewish community thanking him and congratulating him on his conduct as president.

Here I’m providing a summation of Washington’s response:

Washington summarized the principle of religious liberty, a principle at the heart of the American Founding and one of the greatest accomplishments in human history. Today, this principle has been under assault think of the vicious antisemitism we have seen on many college campuses recently or the persecution of Christians by our federal government. The faith of American Christians and Jews has been mocked and increasingly threatened by an aggressively secular, even atheistic, ruling class.

In this present day and age, America again finds its self facing yet another fight for freedom. This fight is not from the outer shores of America, this time it’s an internal fight for survival. This battle is for the soul of America, the eternal war of good vs evil.

The quest for freedom is a theme found throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. Just three chapters into the story of God’s creation, humanity gave up its freedom by choosing to rebel against God. From that time forward, the perfect freedom God created in the Garden of Eden was gone, and the long-term effects have been both physical and spiritual.

Today, many people are living in spiritual slavery without realizing it. They chase false gods of money, success, personal comfort and romantic love, only to realize they are still empty. While many are chasing after these false gods, other’s are working for her demise. Just as there was no single cause of the American Revolution. It was, instead a series of events that lead to the war. So it is today, there is no single cause for America’s internal moral decay that is leading to our fall.

This American Revolution Phase II, is physical and spiritual in nature. In the natural the battle appears as a fight about the U.S. Constitution’s separation of powers and the guarantees of the Bill of Rights. These forces that are fighting against what our Founding Father’s fought for don’t wear red coats instead they wear the garments of socialism, Marxism or what today is called the Far Left.

In the sprawling landscape of America, where the echoes of its founding principles still resonate through its mountains and valleys, a new battle for the nation’s soul is unfolding. This time, the struggle doesn’t come from foreign shores or distant threats; it emerges from within, stirring the very core of American identity.
At this critical juncture, the principle of religious liberty, once eloquently summarized by Washington himself, finds itself under siege. Recent events have seen the erosion of these foundational freedoms, with antisemitism spreading like wildfire on college campuses, and Christian beliefs increasingly coming under fire from a secular ruling class intent on reshaping societal norms. The persecution of faith, whether through policy or social pressure, has ignited a passionate debate across the nation. As this internal struggle intensifies, it’s not just a battle for policy or power it’s a battle for the very heart and soul of America, a nation desperately seeking to reconcile its past with its present reality.

Timid men…prefer the calm of despotism to the boisterous sea of liberty.” Thomas Jefferson

The Founding Principles of America

The Founding Fathers of America envisioned a nation built on the principles of freedom and liberty. These principles were enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, serving as the bedrock upon which the nation was built. The idea that individuals should have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness was revolutionary at the time, challenging the prevailing notion of monarchies and oppressive regimes.
Freedom and liberty are not mere abstract concepts; they are deeply ingrained in the American psyche. From its inception, America has been a beacon of hope for those seeking refuge from tyranny and persecution. Immigrants flocked to its shores in search of a better life, drawn by the promise of individual rights and opportunities.

However, as America grapples with modern challenges, these founding principles face new threats. The rise of socialism presents an ideological challenge to traditional American values. Socialism advocates for greater government control over economic resources and seeks to redistribute wealth among citizens. While proponents argue that it promotes equality and social justice, critics argue that it undermines individual freedoms and stifles innovation.
As Americans debate the merits of socialism versus capitalism, we must also confront social pressures that erode faith-based values. The persecution of faith has become increasingly prevalent in society, with religious beliefs being mocked or marginalized by a secular ruling class. This erosion threatens not only religious liberty but also undermines one of America’s core principles: freedom of conscience. Proponents of socialism argue that it provides a more equitable distribution of wealth and resources, ensuring that everyone has access to basic necessities. They believe that a strong social safety net and government intervention are necessary to address systemic inequalities. However, critics contend that socialism undermines individual freedoms and stifles economic growth.

The debate over socialism in America is not just an intellectual exercise; it has real-world implications for policy decisions and the future direction of the nation. As Americans grapple with these ideological challenges, they must carefully consider the potential consequences of embracing socialist principles.

Social Pressures and the Persecution of Faith

In recent years, there has been a growing concern about social pressures leading to the persecution of faith in America. Religious beliefs have increasingly come under fire, with individuals and organizations facing legal challenges and social ostracism for their religious convictions.
One example of this is the clash between religious liberty and LGBTQ+ rights. As society becomes more accepting of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities, conflicts arise when religious beliefs clash with anti-discrimination laws. Some argue that protecting LGBTQ+ rights is essential for promoting equality, while others believe that it infringes upon religious freedom. More importantly it’s against the Word of God.

Homosexual sin is taught against and prohibited by God throughout the Old Testament, and then it is prohibited throughout the New Testament as well. As Christians, we don’t want to give into the social cultural influences of our day to make it seem okay to identify as a homosexual. The reality is that no one should identify by their sin.

You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination. Leviticus 18:22
