The Prophecy of the Restoration of Israel PI

What Is Israel’s Role in End Times Bible Prophecy?

The book of Isaiah contains numerous prophecies concerning the restoration of Israel. Isaiah 11:11-12, declares, “On that day the Lord will extend His hand a second time to recover the remnant of His people from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; He will collect the scattered of Judah from the four corners of the earth.”

The study of eschatology, the study of the End Times and apocalyptic writings in the Bible certainly bring no end to varying interpretations and opinions. Especially when it comes to understanding Israel’s role in the End Times.

The truth is, none of us know all the events that will occur, so let me add right here, I’m in no way presenting this prophecy series as a so called expert. What I’m attempting to do is to present the Word, to “Be diligent to present (myself) yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15                                                                                                                      While there is much about the End-Times, that is unknown and falls into interpretation or even speculation, a lingering question remains, what about Israel? After all, throughout Scripture, both Old and New Testament, the nation of Israel is God’s “chosen people.”

The Rebirth Of Israel A Sign Of The End                                                                                                                      Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door.” Matt 24:32-33

The fig tree is one of the last trees to bud in the spring, so when it begins to get leaves, people know that summer is right around the corner. There be no more false starts, no more cold snaps. Summer is now certain and soon. Jesus used this analogy to tell people who would be on Earth at the time that when they see the things he described beginning in Matt 24:15, that’s our grand-parents, Mom’s and Dad’s and yes, you and I, He said we would know that His coming is really near.                                                                                                                     God said to Ezekiel, ‘Now lie on your left side for 390 days to show Israel will be punished for 390 years by captivity and doom. Each day you lie there represents a year of punishment ahead for Israel.”

Afterwards, turn over and lie on your right side for 40 days, to signify the years of Judah’s punishment. Each day will represent one year…” (EZEKIEL 4:4-6)

Without going into total detail I will sum it all up like this. Because of this, judgment against the 10 northern tribes of Israel and judgment against the 2 southern tribes of Israel, along with the captivity by Babylon for 70 years, resulted in 430 years of judgment against Israel.

Thus saith The LORD. After all this, if you do not obey Me, then I will punish you SEVEN TIMES MORE for your sins.” – Leviticus 26:18, 21, 27-28, 33

The end of Israel’s judgment culminated in the return of the Jews to their Biblical Homeland, and Israel was officially declared and globally recognized as a Nation again for the first time in over 2,500 years on May 14th, 1948. It’s important to understand Israel’s position on the prophetic calendar as we observe the events unfolding in and around Israel, we should constantly be reminded of the profound words of biblical prophecy.

Understanding Israel’s role in God’s plan is essential for comprehending the signs of the times and the approaching return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
