In today’s world, where biblical views on marriage and family are often challenged, it is vital for Christian parents to reaffirm the truth and authority of God’s Word. As stewards of our children’s spiritual lives, parents are called to consecrate our children to God, guiding them to engage with the church as an essential part of living a godly life.
The breakdown of societal order due to lawlessness is a direct consequence of rejecting God’s moral law, which serves as the foundation for righteous living.
Scripture calls believers to redeem the time. Paul instructs, “See then that ye walk circumspectly redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15–16). Similarly, we are told to “walk in wisdom, redeeming the time” (Colossians 4:5).
On Pentecost, Galileans speaking foreign languages in the temple amazed Jews, challenging tradition. Peter clarified it fulfilled Joel’s prophecy—not drunkenness, but God’s Spirit poured out.
Thomas said to Jesus, “Lord, we do not know where You are going. How can we know the way to get there?” 6 Jesus said, “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one can go to the Father except by Me. If you had known Me, you would know My Father also. From now on you know Him and have seen Him.”
For people to stand up in the temple on the Day of Pentecost during the 9AM prayer time and start praying and declaring God’s praise in Aramaic, Greek, or any of the other languages represented there would seem a bit out of place. In fact, it would have been profane to some of the Jews to use any other language than Hebrew for worship in the temple. So, when these devout Jews from several other nations saw these Galileans stand up and start speaking (and they actually understood what was being said), it amazed and perplexed them.
We must proclaim this message. Jesus is coming. The world needs to hear. And when they hear the gospel it either makes them right or it confirms them wrong. If it does not absolve of sin, it condemns of sin. If it doesn’t soften the penitent heart, it hardens the heart. If it is not, said Paul, a saver unto life, it is a saver unto death. And so the angel says proclaim this prophecy, preach it, preach it, preach it.
